We are 1 month away from our fourth annual Jubilee, the flyer below has all the info. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Life and Family”. So many families are being destroyed by drugs & alcohol and all that comes with that destructive lifestyle.  Often the children are left to basically raise themselves, and in some cases they are taking care of a wasted parent, or parents. It’s easy to turn the other check and say it’s not my problem. The Recovery Church is faced with this task continually and it’s my joy to say we have seen some amazing stories of families being restored and children able to be children again and parents properly raising them. With God’s favor, and your help,we still have in our sights the Castle Home and other recovery homes for men & families.

    JUBILEE (1)

Jesus once healed 10 lepers who cried out to Him. Only one, a Samaritan, came back and gave Him thanks. Jesus was concerned for the nine others, because He knew it was a thankful heart that made a person whole or complete. In Luke 17:19 He said to the one, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?  Were there not any found who returned to give thanks to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you whole.”

This year’s Jubilee will be a time for us, like the one leper, to worship our Lord and give Him thanks for all He has done this past year, and the three years we have been a Church. This October is our three year anniversary. Invite friends and family and come celebrate with us!

In Closing I’d like to leave you with a thought! Not all of America's founding fathers were believers, but even those who were not committed followers of Jesus Christ had, at the very least, a great respect for the Bible. That is why they built our judicial system—and really the government as a whole—on it.

But things have changed, haven't they? We have gotten away from this. A sign of the end times will be people turning from the truth: "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths" (2 Timothy 4:3–4).

Friend, that time has come. This is not just happening in our culture. It is even taking place in some of our churches where people are looking for teachers who will say things that will satisfy them. What the apostle Paul was saying in 2 Timothy 4 was that people will have an itch for novelty. They will want someone to come along who will say something that will soothe them and pacify them—but not something that will challenge them or, even worse, confront them.

This turning away from the truth is something the Bible said would happen in the end times. As preachers of the Word, we have a job to do: it is to preach the Word and not compromise on it, even if it isn't politically correct.

We gratefully thank each of you for your continued support of this work. May the Lord richly bless all you do for His Kingdom!
